DETAILS

ALL couples, including loving Christian husband and wives, get disconnected at times. Created for Connection: The Hold Me Tight ® Program for Christian Couples is an engaging marriage workshop based on a biblical worldview and research-based attachment science. You will learn how to understand and improve your relationship through presentations by the workshop leaders, private exercises, and conversations with your partner, and by watching video demonstrations of other couples.

There is no greater love than Christ’s sacrifice for us. What you can now learn is that the new science of romantic love—of adult attachment— perfectly parallels and echoes Christ’s loving example and gift to us. This workshop is designed to help you face fear that leads to disconnection and utilize the roadmap for love laid out in scriptures and science.

PREMISE

The message of CREATED FOR CONNECTION is simple:

"Forget about learning how to argue better, analyzing your early childhood, or making grand romantic gestures. Instead, get to the emotional underpinnings of your relationship by recognizing that you are attached to and dependent on your partner in much the same way that a child is on a parent, and we are on the Heavenly Father, for nurturing, soothing, and protection."

Science is discovering something that God has modeled for us along. The road to deeper connection is emotional vulnerability, accessibility, and responsiveness. Come to this engaging and fun workshop to invest and nurture your most precious relationship.

FACILITATORS

This workshop will be led by therapists Rebecca Clark, LMFT, and Linda Ware, LICSW, who are both certified in the evidenced-based Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. You and your spouse will learn a reliable roadmap back to day-by-day restoration and ongoing care of the intimate, marital bond that Christ models for us.
